I finally aquired this long sought after sign thanks to Oldgas. After Fred's Gas Bash, pics were posted and I saw the sign behind a dealers table. With some info from Hubba, Dwaine Buck, and Tom Stover, I found out the sign belonged to Fred himself and gave him a call. The rest is history. It's a 42 incher, double sided, used from 1926-36.

You guys were busy this last week!! I came home from work each day & killed bees & their nests, painted my shop & house (Not through by a long shot) and you're out buying every cool piece in site! Gary, glad to see that you got your Marathon sign; I agree with Dwaine, it really helps out that sad looking 850!!! I did run down to Portland, Oregon for an antique show. I found a "marble sign"; 41again already owns it, (that Gary works fast!!) another Union sign for my collection, a couple of matchbooks, a couple of cast iron toy signs & saw some dealers who were also set up at Fred's bash last month. Great way to spend the day.

Great stuff guys. Love that Marine sign Ron. Cheese, I think those matching 541's would have to be "keepers" if they were mine. Keep the pics coming.
