spotted this 850 on a farm 15 miles from here


the base is cemented in & has been for many years.


snapped a pic of the owner when he wasnt looking.

cant buy it ive tried & tried but its just a NO GO! we're UP UP UP in price but he wont let loose of it. Nice guy & i stop every few months.
i guess all ill end up with here is a picture!!!

Man i like those farm fresh pumps!
ive bought alot of them 'that couldnt be bought' - the price is slowly creeping up to a grand on this one. hes hit a few auctions where pumps have sold real high & it RUINED him!

this guy is 80 & he told me he was downtown diggin chicks & got himself a Big ol lady 1/2 his age. he moved her & her kids in for a few years. i think he married her? & they slowly spent all his money & then tried to get the family farm from him!
she hit the road but shes still trying to get the farm. it is in jeopardy now & i thought fersure id get that pump but he wont let go.

i told him hes owned that pump long enough its my turn.
he said: i like it sitting there too & then he laughs!!! --- says hes going to repaint it & asked me what color?
I SAID CAMOUFLAGED!!! camouflage it! LOL!!!!!!! --- he looked at me like WHY??? HAHAHAHAAAAAAA!

Offer to paint the outside of his house this spring. It worked for a friend of mine who picked up a nice tall ten in Santa Paula Ca. a while ago.

I can GUARANTEE i would rather pay full price for a restored 850 than pay for the paint and labor to paint a house!!! And i darn sure dont want to paint it myself!!

Tell him you'll knock off the ex. It will cost you 20 to life and you can probably get off early for good behavior. Think of all the pumps you can restore in the shop with all that time on your hands. Not to mention all the license plates!
