It's that time again... really i am a little late because i forgot. LOL

We are going to do Oval globes this month so lets see how many ovals we can post pictures of.

These are my two different Esso globes. They are both blown in Sweden in the 40's. Standard in Sweden changed name to Esso in 1939. First the usual Esso.

Esso DIESEL, missing its paint. It still has the original rubber collar that was used to even out the pressure from the mounting screws.

Found this picture of a Swedish OK globe. OK still is a cooperative callled the Oil Consumers(spelled with a K in Sweden) This is not my own globe.


A couple of days ago I spotted this odd oval Mobilgas globe, probably on ebay. Has anyone seen one before? The one to the right looks like adecal to me...

WOW Claes, Richard Weir will be all over that Mobil Oval globe. I have never seen one before.

Wes, great oval globes! You have a few that are down right impossible to find.

Here are a couple more photos of some of the ovals my Dad and I have that I forgot to post during last month's feature. The two Site globes appear to be the same, but the one on the left is actually flat glass that is fired on and the colors are a bit different, the one on the right is a "conventional" globe.
