This Gasmart globe displays great with a Gas-a-mat globe I already had. Now I need to find the Gaseteria version. Another one for my oval collection.

I like the smaller 12 1/2" globes and was fortunate to pick up these two this fall.

Sometimes it pat pays to be patient (cheap). I had hoped to buy Rex's Tresler Comet globe but it went for more than I wanted to pay. I was able to buy this one for much less. Although this (Ford) Benzol globe has condition problems I was happy to get it. This one is unusual. It has a cast milk glass face.

I got this globe from a fellow oldgasser. Thats it for me. I picked up a couple other globes for resale but thats not what this topic is about. I was able to get some globes I've wanted for a very long time, and I got some that I didn't know I wanted until I saw them. Some common, some rare. Some plain, some graphic. Best part for me was the time spent with friends while persuing these globes. I know theres more globe collectors out there. Show us what you added to your collections this year. Doesn't matter if they are common or rare, one or fifty. We'd like to see them. [This message has been edited by Lastgas15 (edited 12-17-2006).]

Thanks for sharing Chris. Thats a cool Vickers globe. Don't see that version often. That Coryell globe has to be as scarce as hens teeth. Very nice!

Bob's been busy this year! How cool is that Sinclair Aircraft globe? Now you need the green version to display alongside.

Wasn't that a Coryell station in that old photo of the visible painted to look like an ear of corn? They were selling "corn alcohol" gas...

Here's some of the globes 'The Keeper and I picked up this year. Let start with a globe Jodi got. This is a wide-body, screw-base Gill. This is my Elreco Ethyl globe. It's a narrow-body, screw-base Gill. Now here's my single Red Pepper Ethyl lens on a new 15" metal body. I bought this one at Ohio Gas. This is only a single lens too. More to come . . .

Here's the rest . . . I got this original Gill body globe at Columbus. Here's a real nice Supertest Ethyl globe on a new body. There is just a bit of discoloration at the bottom the the lenses - but the rest of the image is great. Here's a globe that Jodi won at the Fall Peotone auction. And one I got at the same auction. That's pretty much it for us in 2006. Later . . . Jim & Jodi

Here are some of the globes I have added to my collection during this year. Some edge wear but great graphics. A single lens from John Ohern Gill lenses with the early Ethyl Gasoline Corporation logo. [This message has been edited by wfort39663 (edited 12-19-2006).]
