Bill,

Looks great so far! I had no idea there were so many of these.

The D-X logo change was in 1957, so maybe that could be your oldest one?

Wes, Thanks for the input on the DX date. Several companies had thermometers with logos that can date a transition period of signage. The 1959 date I earlier noted was actually on the thermometer. Amoco, Gulf, Lion, Mobil, Phillips, Sinclair, Sohio and Texaco are among the users of transitional logos.

Some thermometers begining with "F".

I have seen two Fina thermometers and they both came from the same town which is about 30 miles north of where I live. Both were found more than 300 miles from that town! They sure travel arround.

The two Flying A may look the same but if you look close one says "Service" and the other says "Gasoline". The service version is more common.

This is great stuff. I really like the Fleet Wing and the Frontier. I'm learning something new here. Just one more thing I'll be searching for when I'm out and about!! Dave.

Some automotive related thermometers. I have also seen the Chevrolet logo in red. Will do some tractor logos tomorrow.

These are great, had no idea there was such a variety out there. Don't know if I will be able to post mine when we get down to that letter.
We have hardwood floors not carpet....lol.
