Indirectly related, it's a can sealer/lidder. This one is set for food cans, but I will modify it for oil cans and add a motor [I'm LAZY, takes 20 turns of the crank for 1 can].

Bought this globe today. First pictured lens is nice with a few scratches. The second pictured lens is cracked from around 4 o'clock to 7 o'clock and in about an 1.5. This is the only way I could afford this globe right now. I will get a better lens later.
Looking for anything from Hoosier Pete, Platolene 500 and Red Bird.

(POSTING FOR CHAD PATE a.k.a. DCPATE): ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Hey Doc, could you insert this Mobil oil rack in next weeks BOTW? It's a survivor, I don't think its ever been cleaned. Both porcelain signs are in excellent shape. I'd been working on this sign for about 2 years... Chad

(POSTING FOR JEFF): --------------------------------------------------------- Doc, Could you please post for me again, thanks for the help!! Jeff Followed up on a couple of leads and went farming in Illinois yesterday. The first gentlemen had quite a few pumps including a couple of clockfaces, unfortunately he wanted well above Jack's book prices. I left discouraged and decided to make one more stop. I knocked on the door and told the farmer a friend told me he may have a pump for sale. He took me out to the machine shed and I had to hold my smile back when I saw it was this 5 gallon Fry, made it a worthwile trip.

Here is my dads buy of the week, a Tokheim Cut 850. It served its time in a county road maintence shed. No the globe did not come with it, but it looks right at home. I think that some people think that good stuff just falls out of the sky and lands in my lap. The truth is that I have had some lucky finds, but I still like some good old fashioned as found garage sale goodies. A guy called my on my ad and said that he had some cans in his grandfathers garage that I might like. Sounded interesting so I went to look. He had a few five gallon cans set aside for me along with some smaller goodies. I asked if I could look through the garage and his grandmother said sure. Had my own private garage sale. Nothing too exciting, but a handful of gas geek stuff including some more oil spouts. I love a cheap date!
