I have a porcelain coated Tokheim 39. The porcelain would need so much repair that I have contemplated blasting it to metal and restore from there. Is that a good option or not?

I have restored porcelain pumps by sandblasting the porcelain enough to make it a little rough, fill the chips as you would dents, and paint it. I don't believe there is any reason you need to sandblast all the porcelain off the pump.
