Your topic is still there. Claes said he is tracking the sign down with people he knows on his side of the pond. So it could be an European version sign. Seems to me there is a question of whether it is original or reproduction. Why not wait for Claes' report back? Just my .02 worth.

I believe my good friend Doug, is refering to the Sunoco restroom sign thread. I may be wrong. (Like that ever happens, LOL)

Thanks Claes for your detective skills. I know I enjoy seeing new and different signs. I guess the question is partly answered, that the sign design is original. Is it being reproduced in Europe, might be? But since 90+% (my figures) of all collectors live in the US doesn't seem reasonable to me. I think someone got a rare (to the US?) sign. Again my .02 worth of BS. LOL

Bob, I think this sign is rare wherever it shows up, and this motif is to my knowledge not reproduced.
br Claes
ps. Bob, when you say "the sign design is original" - do you not understand that THE SIGN on ebay, is THE SIGN the Danish collector has owned? ds

Claes, I do understand that the sign is original, my friend. I just worded my response incorrectly. Your friend is a lucky man to have such a great sign. Again, thanks for the detective work and the great photo of the other sign.

Bob, I was just hoping that I wasn't unclear in my response - it is hard to get all information clear in writing.
I don't think anyone need to step up, I just hope that someone finds the information valueable. I sure had fun when I tried to get it and made some great contacts mean while.
br Claes
