Check out ebay 7223652733. I think this one has been on there before and ebay deleted it. 0 feedbacks and location is "esp"? I emailed him and asked him where he was located. I'll wait for a response which I will probably not get.

On his previous auction that he got negative feedback for, he was in Rock Falls Illinois. Should be enough Oldgassers around that state this weekend to check him out!

Looks like one of Amistadi's signs.

I e-mailed that guy and he said he was in Spain. However, his profile shows Illinois.

E-mail quote:

"the sign is certified to be original from the 30's. It doesn't have a date on it but it has that original tags from "Art Craft Neon Sign Company".
The sign is here with me in Spain. I own 2 antiques shops here and the sign is now kept in one of my shop's back room.
You will have to make a bank wire transfer from your bank account into my bank account for 1130 Euros (around $1, 350.00 US Dollars). Once the money will be in my bank account I will proceed with the shipping. The shipping and insurance costs are included in the total price. I will ship the sign insured via Lufthansa Air Cargo and you will receive it within 4-5 days at your door.
If you decide to buy the sign let me know and I will forward you my bank account information. I will take care of the shipping process. You just have to let me know your ship to address.
If you agree with these terms, let me know a.s.a.p. and I will be more than glad to start to complete the transaction with you.
Looking forward to hearing from you...
Best regards,
Justin Selmer Stralow"

When I asked him where he was he answered in Illinois. I clicked on the link "ask seller a question". There's another post in the General Petroliana topic saying this is a scam.

This Justin offered both my father and I (working under seperate e-mails) the same offer that he made to Ray. I e-mailed him and let him know that I new he was using pictures from a 2004 auction and that I notified E-bay, I received no response. I did notify E-bay, then I emailed the highest and 2nd highest bidders to warn them. It would be a nice scam to get a bunch of people to be dumb enough to wire 1350. to him!

Wouldn't it be fitting to get his bank account number and forward it to one of those Nigerian scammers. Talk about fair play. LOL.
