I HAVE SEEN A JEWELED GLOBE BODY, A FRIEND OF MINE HAS ONE. BUT THE WHOLE CLOCKFACE PUMP THINGY AS YOU CALL IT IS QUESTIONABLE? WHEN WAS GAS 5 CENTS PER GALLON? IF IT'S A REPOP OR A FANTASY PIECE, IT SURE IS A BEAUT!

FANTSY ITEM made to look like the WAYNE 800. Too much taper in the lower body, too short [made to fit under an 8' ceiling with globe]. PLASTIC or WOOD. Made in the last few years, not in the 50's. db

This is actually a piece of furniture,I have one exactly like it in my basement. The front door opens and has a shelf in it. I use it for a video cabinet. I purchased it at a local furniture store(Rothman). The clock face is a battery operated clock and the globe does light.I also have four other "real" pumps in the basement and I don't think anyone who has visited thinks the piece of furniture is in any way the real deal.
