I was curious if this Red Crown is real or some kinda repro? A cracked red crown that i was watching last week in Champaigne IL went for a lot more than this, and this auction in UT is saying that this one is NIB. Repo. No chimney cap globes were made in the 50's to my knowledge.

The globe shown is not a globe but a light fixture. There should be a metal top cap that goes over the opening at the top. The top was then attached to a chain for hanging from the ceiling.The light bulb was in the top cap.These were a promotion available to Standard dealers around 1970 I believe. They normally sell in the $275 to $350 range complete.

Ok, i was wondering what the deal was with the chimney like top. Had never seen one like that before. Would look good on my ceiling fan.... Hmm  Thanks! Wes
