My gut feeling says it is NOT the real deal, too many small details are wrong, and the only Pegasus' that runs to the right (before 1966) are some of the the cookie cutters...

Claes.......Hard to tell from the pictures. I know they made "right-facing" outside station signs (cookie-cutters, as you mentioned) if needed......usually to make the station look best as dictated by it's location/orientation with the nearby
street(s). Not sure why that philosophy would not apply to a sign like this one. Probably one I wouldn't buy without seeing it in person. If it's real it's rare.
