What do you think the odds are of this making it through the shipping process without arriving in 10,000 pieces?

I have heard directly from UPS that when you ship an item with Styrofoam only like this with no bubble wrap or packing between it and the Styrofoam it will bang around against the foam no matter how hard it was packed and the Styrofoam will just start to come apart, so how do the pro’s ship these?

OH and look at the bottom of the packed photo, nothing but box!

I've never bought one of those before, but I did recently pay $2000.00 for a vintage 40 year old chevrolet fragile plastic dealership signlight.I boarded a plane and picked it up in person,as the seller met me at the gate.I then turned around and stowed in in overhead after inspection. We are both happy today because of it.
Air fare was less then any of the insured quoted shipping amounts, and the piece of mind was priceless..

Pretty good IF shipped by Bus. -0- if shipped by USPS or UPS. Should have at least 2" of bubble wrap next to cylinder, then packed in foam. Anything that pierces the outer box, impact will be transferred to the cylinder.
This is how NOT to package Heavy cast iron items.

Chunks of styro were placed around the mech to keep from moving around ! Yeh right. What a mess.
