Do "they" reproduce signs that big? Looks like it could be a wood-framed tin sign.

I really think this is the Real Deal, for one you never see Repop signs this big. I Beleive Amistadi has a Large Oilzum collection. I think He would be the Guy to talk to about this sign.

I have no idea if it is real or not but I do know Sinclair made several signs about this big that are sometimes called fence signs. They were put on fences or on walls. Looks to be in good shape if it is real.

i don't understand the problem, the seller says he thinks its a repo!........... as far as asking price, he can ask a million dollars if he feels greedy ...i know this repo & its not a hand painted job,.........i make a large 2 sided neon repo sign for $3500 & it costs me nearly $2500 in material from start to finish.............. lets concentrate, focus & stop the real thieves on ebay who are ruining not only our hobby but the whole advertising sign hobby.......i am talking about guys taking signs like these & selling them as originals...... however some think these are the "good guys"..... Here is a great ****bag to start with............................................... http://cgi6.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI .dll?...t=3&completed=1 ...Lets get him removed from ebay.......just click on the bottom of all of his auctions "Report this Item" [This message has been edited by roadrelics@aol.com (edited 02-14-2008).]

sorry.......i am just sick of this "wholesalecandyshop" guy in Argentina getting away with all this fraud on ebay & they do nothing.... a guy in Ohio(?) is doing different 3 x 5 wood framed, embossed gas tin signs that look great, he is the same guy who sells all the smaller (Phillip Morris cigaretts} signs.... they do very good porcelain repos as well.... i guess i would like to see this oilzum sign in person before i could make a judgement,......

All you can do in feebay is report the auction numbers for this wholesalecandyshop loser. You can't send a comment when you report (at least I couldn't) They probably do not want want to be bothered.
I did report for his open aucitons. Check their completed listings. Unbelieveable.
Who is making this stuff?
As usual feebay will do nothing. Look at their stock price since October. DOWN. And I think it will continue to drop.
Sorry, I know I am off the subject. I will shut up now.
Always looking for Ithaca Gun and Lucky Sam soda items!!!

The guy selling the sign says its a repop,,, you can't get more honest than that, as far as $500 , if it were original in that condition it would be $5000... I have a repop Supertest sign, ( tin ) and new wood frame, ( see attached) I paid $300 and I wouldn't sell it for $1000...show me an original in good enough condition and I would buy it,, they just don't exsist sometimes. Everyone enjoys something different,,, were not all the same,,, thank goodness !There's a place in this world for anything, especially when the people selling are as honest as this guy with the Oilzum sign..
