First off it's the wrong dinosaur.

I guess you could look it up in the same book the auction references to see if you believed the books story.

But even if I collected Sinclair stuff, I'd pass on it since it doesn't match ANY of the dino stuff Sinclair put out.

JMHO

Later . . .

Jim

If it were legit, wouldn't it say "Sinclair Oils" rather than "Sinclair Oil?"

The writing (and the date) looks like someone engraved it into the jar after firing.

Found his cookie jar brother. Somebody must be as bored at 5 am as I am and had some cookie jars that wouldn't sell. Just scratch in a name and they become rare and priceless. Would that work on an old Honda I am trying to sell? I'll go out and scratch an oil/gas company name across the hood and it will become rare and priceless too. Now what company fits an 86 Honda? Just playing around and bored this morning so I hope I have not offended.

O.K.... Maybe we need a contest here...

It has been over two days and seller still hasn't updated that ring description....

Will the seller remember to do it before it ends?....lol.

Will the dinosaur be a different one when they update that one?
Or will it look like a clam shell and say SHELL OIL...

2 days and 4 hours to go..... ROTFLMAO!!..

I have NO expertise on this, but to me it does look like something someone made in a Ceramics 1 Class. But, after watching Antiques Road Show, it seems as a lot of stuff I laugh off turns out to be some priceless original that some artist (untalented in my opinion) made. Ill go with my gut though and say its **** .
