Anyone else notice that winning bidders ID is encrypted After end of auction ? Ebay doesn't want buyer to find out he just bought a Repo or P.O.S.

I can understand why they had to do it. Too many ebay judges and not all of them knew what they were talking about.

Heck Rick, we got the same thing on oldgas auctions. Except it about governing the seller.

What's next ? Encrypted sellers or do away with Ask Seller A Question !
I for one would WELCOME a Heads Up on any suspect item, even after the auction was over & before paying shipping both ways IF seller offered a 100% money back.

so now ebay is going to let these trusting buyers purchase these (reproductions represented as original) items from total rip-off artists.....wow, i believe its to keep more money in ebays pocket.......buyer beware cause now you have zero help.....thats really good for the hobby !!
Attention rip-off artists, you now have total freedom to sell on ebay & get away with it !

I think ebay is grasping at straws to save a failing company. Every move they make lately has been to the detriment of our hobby as far as trying to help other buyers out with repos. Ebay is their worst own enemy. Some enterprising person will come along and create a new auction site that will take off and kill ebay and it will be just like ebay used to be 15 years ago. Just a prediction, but I see it coming.

Well I posted something about paypal, but I guess the seller can still except money orders and checks? All they put now is paypal for details at the bottom of the auctions.

The other day, I kept having errors in listing items with ebay's Turbolister program. Error was I had the box checked for accepting cc's and mo's. Had to update the program for it to work and so I could list them.
I was told you can still accept cc's and mo's. Unfortunatly you have to accept paypal and strongly advertise using it. Sucks.
Regarding helping others, etc... If you want to see who wins an item, add the auction link to your internet favorites. Keep checking until the buyer leaves feedback for the seller. Then tell him he got ripped off! They can then file a claim through paypal and apparently under the "new improvements" to ebay/paypal, easily get reimbursed.
Sell me your Gilmore Oil Co. stuff...

I had to add this link, to me another reason ebay is awesome, there is no possible way this lucky kid could have ever gotten that kind of interest without ebay, Read his "ask the seller a question" and see how this auction evolved from a simple used car to a find we all dream about. I think I'll start listing all the cars at the local junkyards and see if I find a gem. I can't help but smile for the lucky seller. That can't be real. Surely no one would pay that kind of money for a shell of a 63 Tempest.
