Will you be bidding and buying items in the next week on ebay or will you strike with the sellers?

I have not made up my mind yet.

My sister, wife, mom, brother-in-law and I have both pulled all of our listings. I will still watch eBay for a killer deal and would snipe it if I found one. But we have closed our listings and may have for good. We are all putting our things over on ecrater.com . With all of our listings pulled they will loose around $1,200.00 that week just from us. If everyone else does the same and does not re-list then it will get their attention. BUT IT PROBABLY WON’T.

WOW, looking at the past comments, it is very safe to say that although eBay does not need you, You all NEED eBay, and that is exactly what eBay wants, BUYERS BUYERS BUYERS to buy from the sellers who remain.

THIS IS NOT A BASH AGAINST ANYONE SPECIFIC, JUST A VIEW FROM ME.

If you strike you should strike, not strike only IF

AGREED,,, it's a strike half way,,, Ebay still wins,,, Ebay has millions of members, buyers/sellers... it will take more than a hand full for them to even notice anything happened,,.. Good Luck though.

i for one don't need ebay, as a matter of fact i wish they would go away, howeer that will never happen...............

I will strike on the selling but i don't cut my nose off to spite my face when it comes to a deal......business is business & as a matter of fact "if" my lively hood depended on selling thru ebay, i would be selling also

i am able to control my selling, but when it comes to buying, i have been out of control for years...........

Darryl,
"i am able to control my selling, but when it comes to buying, i have been out of control for years..........." YOU TOO ?
Thought I was the only one ! LOL

MILLIONS of buyers/sellers will have to strike for it to have any effect, & will have to last more than a week. Writers have been on strike more than a month with no effect yet.

I quit selling as soon as ebay annoucned their "improvments". Maybe I will start selling again, but for now NO.

I have continued to buy, outside gas and oil items, quality and amount of items are down on items I watch for, even with ebays 10 cent day or whatever they just had to boost items up.

I don't understand why anybody would waste any time or effort into an 'ebay strike'. good luck making any money on the alternative websites, there is simply no better place to buy and sell, period. Just adapt to the changes and move on.

well, it might appear so but I'm not. I am however selling stuff on ebay that I listed last week, now buyers want to start a strike against ebay. Perfect timing on my part. I don't agree with all the changes, but really, do you expect ebay to just reverse them now? I figure it's easier to adapt at this point than waste your time on a competitor's website. The buyers have more reason than ever to shop on ebay now, why would they go elsewhere?

Ebay is just pennys compared to the oil companies ripping me off!
Them and there billions of dollars of profit. That is what makes me sick! Wait till summer and boating season starts and i spend $400 at the gas station for my truck and boat.

Looking for anything from Hoosier Pete, Platolene 500 and Red Bird.

Striking ebay is like the efforts to strike the oil companies by not buying gas nationwide on a particular day.

Hi Sounds like only half a strike for some people-If you are not selling but still buying ?? please go bid on some of my stuff -seller id is oilnspeed i think ebay is trying to get back some of the buyers who went away because they got ripped off by sellers- If as a seller you dont get paid you are not out anything but time- as buyer you can be out your whole payment- as a seller I would be nowhere without the buyers- Just my 3 cents-thanks Don
