****Does anyone have any data on when this sign was used? It is painted tin and notice that is uses the old script but reads for motor car and motor boat lubrication.

Whats with the **???

I have heard that if a polarine sign says motor cars its from the 20's. Dont know if there is any truth to this but at least it sounds good. Just sell it to me and you wont have to worry about it.HAHA

The globe I copied for my lenses says the same thing and I'm pretty sure its from the teens. Its in nice shape for a tin sign..........
