second chance buy?

bid on an item last week,but did not get it.got a second chance offer yesterday.24 hrs. wanted it real bad,sent seller questions,he did not answer,so i took the chance and did buy it now 2 hrs before my deadline.said i won the item.then i got email from seller that it has been sold he improperly listed it again.do not send money.what should i do?i wouldve really liked to get it.thanks mick

the guy emailed me back with an explanation.he is new to ebay.i let it go,maybe next time.
