This pic was sent to me by Danceswithpumps. It's just like what I found on one of my 36Bs that I just picked up (see "The thrill of the hunt") The logo is from Eaton Products, a company here in Denver, that among other things, makes fuel tanks with pump units.

I am guessing that they rebuilt and/or serviced gas pumps. My question is; when they did this, and installed their face plates, were the faceplates painted white, or were they left as bare aluminum?

Hi Jeff, They are still operating in Denver. N. Washinton St.? I think. Its Eaton Metal Products. Don't think they really specialize in just gas. Althought we have had 500 gallon fuel tanks mfg. by them. Tanks are a big part I believe. Larry
The shape going through the word Eaton is where it would say metal products

Sorry, did not get to your question. The nice original face plates that I have seen were a simple aluminum face with the words in black paint. I think just a brushed aluminum finish. Larry

Larry, they're right there on York, just north of the 70 freeway, still at it. But you are pretty sure that the plates were not painted?

Here is a pic of their current logo, only slightly different than the one on the faceplate.
