I am a shop teacher at a small rural high school in Wyoming. This year some of the kids in one of my classes decided to try and restore the Erie 71 gas pump from their family farm. According to the grandad, it is a Sinclair pump, but we do not know (and he doens't remember) what the color scheme looked like. Does anyone out there have a color picture, or know how this pump may have been painted?

The other huge stumbling block is that the glass on top of the pump is missing. It is not a typical globe like on other pumps. If anyone has this piece of glass, or knows where we might be able to come up with one, please let me know. I have to pay for this project out of my own pocket, but it is worth it to me to teach these kids a worthwhile skill. The kids are really fired up about this project, so any help would be greatly appreciated. Please contact me at coopwyo@yahoo.com and thanks for your time.
