That looks better than a freshly painted building. I has a lot of character.

Im glad you gave that Rough Sinclair Opaline a good home, It hung on my shed for a few years and finally came down after we moved.

I like a mint sign or a restored pump as much as anyone else, but I think I actually prefer the rusty patina of unrestored items. There is something beautiful about rust and faded paint, it adds a level of interest and uniqueness to an old sign or pump.

The patina of those signs looks great against your barn! Am I wrong or is that a 75-77 Camaro in the left side of the barn? I have an '81 Z28, always loved the 70-81 f-bodies!

This came from my very small hometown Chevy dealership(via the abandoned town dump many years later. It was folded over, run over, and burned-I still love it.)

Thanks for all the great replies, bottom line every time I looked at buys of the week all I saw were these mint looking signs and thought to my self I must be the only person that likes the rough ones. Thanks for changing my mine.

You are not alone there Jim!
Just picked up another one yesterday.
Lots a memories.
The FFA sign is from my High school
and the hubcap/clock(i made) is from ?
still has the wheel grease inside it
and scratches on the outside.
HAGD,
mike
