Doc, I would hope you plan on hanging that Invader sign in the Living Room!!! JASON, IT'S REALLY NOT ALL THAT MUCH OF A BEAUTY, BUT THE PRICE WAS RIGHT! IT TAKES A BETTER PICTURE THAN WHAT IT REALLY IS ALL ABOUT. HAD TO HAVE IT! MIGHT GET HUNG IN THE LAUNDRY/MUD ROOM WHICH IS WHERE MOST PEOPLE AND MYSELF ENTER THE HOUSE. THE CHEVRON GOT SCREWED RIGHT TO THE REAR SLIDING DOOR ON MY GARAGE ALMOST IMMEDIATELY!

Here is something I've been working on for quite a while! Its a 1922 Model 48 Lubester made by the American Oil and Tank Co. Its been in the same shop for as long as the owner could remember and he's 10 years older than me! It was hard for him to let it go, not because of the value but because it means its the beginning of the end for his old repair shop! He understands that I will restore it and thats the only reason that I was able to purchase it! I have about 3 projects in the works right now, so this will have to sit against the wall until late this summer! Its probably the nicest thing that I have in my collection, or at least the most historically significant!!! Enjoy the pictures!!!

SQUICK!--Did you notice on your Wayne 70 that the sightglass is larger than most? It looks to be like one that I have and its 3 1/2 inches instead of 2 1/2 inches. Its a complete different set up the way its made inside too! Also the computer window should be about an inch shorter and maybe an inch narrower than the later models. Mine is a 1937 model as verified by Jack Sims and looks just like yours does. I wasn't aware that Wayne made that model with these difference but now yours turns up too! Jack Sims explained that Wayne pump co often used whatever parts were available if they were short and needed to get some pumps done. The fact that another one like mine has turned up is very interesting. You should send the serial number to Jack and have him ID the year of manufacture for you. If you could take some pictures of the sightglass and the manifold and send them to me, I could compare the two! Great find!!!---KEVIN
