Hey Doc, how about Photoshopping some old gas pumps into the beds of the blue and green trucks in your first photo? I was kinda daydreaming that. LOL

Cool trucks! I've got a T-shirt with a graphic of an old trash truck very similar to the one starting this topic. It says, "One man's trash is another man's treasure." Words to live by.

FUNNY/COOL STORY TONIGHT....

LAST NIGHT (SUNDAY) AFTER WATCHING A FEW YOUTUBE VIDEOS I EVENTUALLY GOT INTO WATCHING VIDEOS OF OLD ABANDONED AUTO JUNK YARDS...MOST WAY OUT IN THE BACKWOODS OF PENN OR GEORGIA ETC. LOTS OF 60'S AND OLDER CARS LEFT TO ROT AND I WAS PSYCHED....LIKE I NEED TO FIND THE ONE IN PENN SINCE GA IS A TAD FAR AWAY FROM HERE.

FAST FORWARD TO TONIGHT. I'M ON MY WAY TO A 2-ROOM SCHOOLHOUSE FOR A GATHERING AND PRESENTATION BY A FRIEND OF MINE TO TALK ABOUT LONG ISLAND HISTORY. I GET THERE BEFORE ANYBODY AND HAVE A 1/2 HOUR TO KILL.
SO I WANDER INTO THE WOODS ACROSS THE STREET WHERE I MUST'VE FOUND OVER 3 DOZEN PRE-1960 CARS AND TRUCKS... A FIRETRUCK AND EVEN A GAS PUMP (GILBARCO 96 OR 98 STYLE) STREWN ABOUT THE WOODS. 1 HOUSE WOULD BE BLOCKING YOUR VIEW FROM THE ROAD AND I DIDN'T SEE THESE FROZEN IN TIME
WRECKS UNTIL I WAS A GOOD 150' INTO THE WOODS!

COINCIDENCE? VERY MUCH SO! FORDS, NASH'S, STUDES, CHRYLSERS, INTERNATIONALS, CHEVY'S, CADDY'S, PLYMOUTH'S AND ON AND ON. UNFORT THE SUN WAS SETTING QUICKLY AND I HAD ONLY 20 MINUTES TO SNAP AWAY.
DEF GOING BACK AGAIN SOON TO SHOOT ON AN OVERCAST DAY!

HOPE TO HAVE PICS UP SOON!

LIFE IS GOOD! laugh

A truck restorer was looking for a tanker to put behind his 1951 Brockway & I knew of this trailer that was located at on old fenced foundry brown field.
I called the former tanker owner who said they sold to a cement plant for temporary storage. The plant is gone & somehow the tanker got accross the road to the brown field.
We called the township, EPA, & DEQ & nobody could authorize its sale.
There is about 6" tree growing between the bumper & tank of this 1957 Heil.

If the cement plant no longer exists as a business, I would suggest the would be buyer, inquire of the BMV about getting such a title changed and the process to do it. Odds are from where it sets, nobody can authorize it's sale (because they don't actually own it) and No Body is going to come looking for it if it disappears.
