I'm a new member to the list, and am restoring a Wayne 60 that I acquired about 30 years ago. I have not restored a pump before, but have had this one sandblasted and painted. I'm now in the final assembly, and have a question about the two spinners. Actually, the question is about the glass domes over the spinners. My pump has no remaining interior plumbing for the glass dome bases to attach to. How have you guys installed the glass domes in pumps without the internal plumbing?

WELCOME TO OLDGAS
Hopefully someone here will have the manifold you need.
If not, hope your a good fabricator/machinist. Easiest would be to have a pipe threaded on both ends to accept the site glass nuts. Weld brackets to that to bolt to inner frame.
I would use a coupling in center for minor adjustments & make plugs to hold the spinners.

OR, epoxy them to sheet metal.

The 70's are not quite the same, but can be used with some modifications. Richard

I'd have to agree with Phil & Richard after looking at it today. Not a lot of difference and should work OK.---KEVIN

Thanks for the welcome and the info, guys. Sorry I haven't responded so quickly.....have house guests this weekend. I was hoping there was a way to install the sight glasses without any interior plumbing, but I guess not. Thought maybe I could fabricate an assembly with PVC to span between the sight glasses, thus keeping the weight down. The assembly of the pump is well along, just finished the wiring. Sure is a pretty pump in TEXACO red! To answer another question, I am located north of Denver in Broomfield, near Erie Airport.

What's another pound or two compared to the
BOAT ANCHOR of a base that thing has?

PLEASE...... don't tell me you removed the bottom parts from your computer to lighten it....lol

Does your pump have the cross-members to hold the flow glass manifold?
Also without the manifold,...... how does the hose come out???
There is a special outlet casting for the hose to go into, that pipes into the manifold.
JOE

Try the PVC, it's easy to work with. Be sure you have the top sheet metal fitted before making the manifold to hold site glasses.
Get a hold of St.Rod [Larry Bigler] on here, he's in Edgewater & has done a couple of 60's.
