Lubester Question

I have been seeing lots of old photos of gas stations that had 3 lubesters in a row.

Ok I know they had:

SAE 20
SAE 30

What was the other one used for? I would have guessed lamp oil or kerosene but from what it looks on the photos they were all 3 red.

I know 10w was considered the light oil for some time.

I sold lots of 40wt back in the 50's when I worked in a station after school for heavy duty use and old klunkers like mine. Also could be used for 90wt gear lube.

Normally gear lube was kept in smaller carry around dispenser.
On the island, anything that sold to the motoring public.
In the service bay, most needed liquids.
