Any chance someone has a clover globe body laying around? I have a great pair of lenses that were given to me. They're mounted on the original globe but the base is broken. I've been trying to find info on repairs but haven't come across anything yet. I'd sure like to find a good body to mount them on. smile KEVIN

Hello Kevin. I've been asking that same question on this site for at least the past year or more. Have not gotten a single bite or lead.

If you've got a body that holds the lenses and just has some base damage, I'd consider yourself lucky. The bodies on these clovers went long before the lenses ever did, and there's nobody out there making repros of them. I'd even be willing to take something with a damaged base to display my clover lenses. I've got (2) nice sets looking for bodies so keep me in mind if you upgrade your's!

.......Rob

I'm not sure. We have a high temp white laminating plastic at work that would be pourable if you had a mold.If part of the base is missing could you move to the other side and take a shot over the outside and in the inside and then pin the shots together. I would tape off the globe leaving the edge of the broken area exposed and sandblast the area to promote adhesion. Then with the shots I'd try to pour plastic in them against the sandblasted edge. Let set up,remove my shots and see what it looked like. If this interests you, drop me a PM and we could go from there.

Kevin,
You see the one on ebay with lenses? It's cheap right now.

If you do find one and want to ship me the broken one,I could look at it to see how much trouble an attempt tp fix it would be. Just a thought.

Jarvis--You mean oslosteves @$2350? I originally traded that to him and he's doing pretty good on it.
Pat---I've been meaning to call you and discuss the procedure you outlined but its been nothing but hectic here for the last 3 weeks. I'm determined to try and fix this one but haven't gotten that far yet. It has really nice lenses and I'd really like to get them displayed. I'll be sure to call you one of these next days!----KEVIN

The one on ebay is as nice as you'll ever find and the price is still VERY reasonable at $2325 with 2 days left in the auction. I can't believe his reserve was only $2100.

Wanted: Gas pump globes:Sinclair & affiliates, IL companies. Ripple bodies. Anything Sinclair, Stoll, Pierce, 4 Bros.
