Any tricks or tips about cutting or drilling holes in a porcelain sign? I plan on buying an old SSP sign, half of it is pretty rusted and has holes in it. The other half with the logo on it is in decent shape. I want to cut off the bad side and then drilling a couple holes in the good side to hang it up. Do I need a special drill bit, drill into the front side or the back of the sign, do any good to cover the place I am drilling with masking tape or anything? I heard of using a sheet metal cutter or a plasma cutter, will either one give a better edge? I am trying to reduce the amount of chips or porcelain breakage where the cuts/ holes will be.
Thanks
