item 160328432089 - Illinois route 66 marker.

not even a style that Illinois (or any other state) ever used. Horribly wrong fonts and everything.

who buys this crap!?

it certainly is a fake. it was made in the last 5 years, using a design that never existed in the field...

thing is, the quality of craftsmanship ain't bad. I've seen one of the signs in person and they sure do *look* good. So why can't the manufacturer apply the same care and attention to making the fonts and the size and the shape be a little better?

PROBABLY BECAUSE THAT MANUFACTURER WANTED TO MAKE A DIFFERENT VERSION SO IT WOULD AND COULD NEVER EVER EVER BE MISTAKEN FOR AN ORIGINAL

1275 dollars later, I think your "never ever ever" doesn't hold water!
