ok just some thing i am not real sure of.was phillips flite fuel their version of eythl?also would this "sixty six"(upper decal)be correct with the orange and black version of the shield?
i am "thinking " of putting a new orange and black shield(maybe eythl shield)to go with the flite fuel globe i have.here is a pic of what i have now
maybe the question would be ,which decals would be he most authentic with this globe.any input is greatly appreciated.and i may just leave it alone.pics would be great too! thanks mick

This isn't much help for you Mick, but I have a Wayne 505 that had about the same paint scheme. Mine was kinda a Redish orange with Grey Sides. I have since restored it and is now Black.

I Think the "Sixty-Six" was a Later logo than the Black and Orange Sheild, but I am no Phillips 66 expert. But your Pump does look good the way you have it.

Mick checkout this site: americanroadmagazine.com/forum/index.php? dated Aug 14,07
Not sure if it will work. The site is an article in American Road Magazine about a Phillips 66 station in a "ghost town" in Kent OR. According to the article "flite Fuel" was used from '53 to '59. I believe long after the Eythl globe was discontinued. But I've been wrong so many times before, LOL. I forgot to mention that it looks as if "flite-Fuel" fell within the changeover of logos, so it could have either the orange/black or red/white(?) shields. The pumps in the article seem to have the red/white(?) shield.

I would leave it alone. If you put new decals then might as well put new paint too.

Good looking pump. I think it looks perfect with the globe. You will be lucky to find another pump that just needed some elbow grease to look that good again.
