In a word, NO.....depends on location, how badly the buyer wants the pump and quality of the restoration. To get the best return in my opinion will depend on how and where you market the piece. It will bring more at an antique shop than at a flea market, just common sence stuff. Be prepared to sit on it for a while at the antique mall, sometimes 6 months. Go to cruise-ins or car shows, ask around, pass out business cards, network your area. I didn't give you a number because I don't know your area but if I have to I would say $2000 and up. Hope this helps.

My wife is "close" to shootong me because I'm starting to restore and collect them. I saw on e for around 5500-6000 last year with a pretty good restoration.

Kris--You've picked a good one to concentrate on for a number of reasons! They're still affordable in as found condition, they're one of the most attractive pumps ever made, the parts are reasonable and plentiful, and the finished product will always be saleable.
Everything in the world is cheaper right now because of the economic situation surrounding us but it will change someday! Don't expect it to happen overnight and always be careful when you buy your raw materials!
The best advice I could give you was given to me by a very close and wealthy friend. He said" remember that you make your profit when you buy the object, not when you sell it"!!!
If you understand the full meaning of that phrase, you'll be fine, if not, you need some education yet!
Good luck!---KEVIN

Kris, did you see that pump sell for that amount or was it just advertised? Believe none of what you hear and only half of what you see!!!!!
You can probably get $5/6000 at Barrett-Jackson for an excellent restoration....
