How long and what diameter should the hose be on a visible pump from the 20's and 30's? Should the hose be black or another color? Thanks, Jimmy

Originals were Cotton covered rubber on metal flex, either 1 1/4" or 1" & usually 10-12'.
Repo hoses that are available are Nylon covered rubber [very similar to fire hose & not meant to dispense gasoline] will turn yellow if exposed or indirect to the sun.
So if your putting it outside I would use Black [it will over time fade to lite gray].
