Kerr McGee sign is on E-Bay #330341840639 & my gut instinct is telling its fake/Repop, does anyone know of this seller. I read some of his other listing & they make me feel less confident as to origins of all his listings. Anybody have any thoughts. Thanks Dug

I'd say we are getting a little trigger-happy on oldgas, someone would have to be deranged to repop a Kerr McGee sign of ANY TYPE. Not poking fun at you Phoenix, just goes to show the damage to the psyche of the hobby that the deliberate fakes have caused.

I agree if your going to repop, Kerr McGee is not your best choice, but the stories with each item had me wondering.

I know I've gotten really skeptical of signs in the last few years. If they were $50-$100 I wouldn't worry that I might get burnt now and then, but with a lot of them into the thousands it's hard to be a believer. To make it worse I'm not seasoned enough to always tell the difference. Thank goodness for Oldgas. There's a lot of knowledge here.

Seth, I was thinking the exact same thing about this thread and one a few days ago regarding a Deep Rock sign that John O'hern had on ebay.
Collect small Oklahoma Oil Co.'s 1920's-1940's. Barnsdall, Cushing, Eason, Marland, etc.
