I hope I'm not adding something that's already been discussed but wanted everyone to know that Gas Pump Rob seriously injured himself 3 weeks ago. Apparently, while moving a gas pump, obviously in a hurry, it got away from him and fell on him breaking both of his collar bones. I know he's in a LOT of pain and "not doing great". If this is not a new topic then let's send out our best wishes to him

Remember the question that Rob had about the weight of a G&B 66 ?
That's what pinned him in Round 1.
He is SORE, but sounds good on the phone.
GET WELL SOON Rob, IG is Calling.

WOW.. Rob I hope you feel better ... your in my prayers. Richard it that from experience? OK I'll confess I had a freshly primered one fall on me... painted it outside and it started raining so I wanted to move it under cover and the darn handtruck got away from me and both ended up on top of me....good thing a friend was over.... I can smile about it now... John

Don't know who you are Gas Pump Rob but I certainly wish you a speedy recovery. Can't tell you how many times a gas pump nearly got away from me. Not a fun experience.

...hope you get well soon, Rob...

...had a Tokheim 36B fall on me when a rotten board on the trailer we were loading gave under the weight of one of the wheels on my hand truck...although I couldn't maintain my balance or get out of the way, luckily, it came down slowly enough and in a way that I could brace it with my legs...but I had to get CircaDesigns to help extricate me...I think we were both laughing...

Looking for better Gulf items: signs, globes, cans and paper - especially porcelain Gulf flanges, and Gulf A-38 & A-62 ad glass...

Dont know Rob but have been in the position of personal safety or dumping the pump (unrestored in my cases)It's a very tough choice. Another dent or some thing broken(on the pump)I never had to use myself as a cushion between the ground and the pump but it seems like the ultimate sacrifice. I bow down to you. Get well soon.

Thanks Ray for the post and to all that posted kind words!
I have been recovering now for three weeks and getting better day by day. I have not told many about this accident because I think I am mad at myself for letting that pump get a hold of me.
My advice to all never think your invincible to anything, be carefull!!!! I slipped on gravel trying to move that monster tryed to get away but it overpowered me!! (late at night in the dark and tired after wrenching all week at the shop.

Thanks Again for all the nice get well greetings!
Rob
