Picked up this Wayne 452 at Des Moines (prearranged deal).
Might be the heaviest pump I own. Thanks to those who helped load it! Send me the bill(s) from the chiropractor.

There's plenty more room but only if your back can take more loading. Looks like a nice project just to get it unloaded. Good luck,
Mike

A picture after it's out of the trailer might be quicker!

Hey Ron, I know your pain. I picked up a Wayne 276 with a 5 gallon visible attachment a couple years ago to trade. That thing practically flattened the tires of my trailer. The entire visible attachment, dome, base etc were all cast iron along with a bunch of cast iron guts. I never knew a pump could be that heavy. We ended up moving it with a landscape dolly meant for moving large trees around. My friend who helped me load it on the trailer to take to trade with a friend of mine said he never wanted to see another gas pump again (he's not a collector). I can usually horse around most pumps myself with the proper planning and equipment but this thing coulda killed someone!

Heaviest pump I helped move was a Twin 850 [I now own] w/ guts. Guy used a forklift & strap to lift, then I backed my S-10 under it. Problem was getting it out as it was standing upright. Had to remove the lower sheet metal to access bolts to separate, then slide each to rear of bed before laying down.

Another Heavy pump was the WAYNE 730 w/guts. Had no help when I moved it from 1 storage yard to another. Sure glad I sold the round STARKEY [pg 257] @ IG the year I took it. Took 4 guys to unload.
Much easier than loading/unloading with an enclosed trailer.

Dick, you have to admit, the Bowser 300 size to weight ratio makes it the heaviest, if it was the size of an 850 twin you would need two elephants and a crane! Cool pump Ron, some day you need to post some pics of your Barn O'Pumps

Lance,
Especially the 300-E [Electric pump], except the sheet metal cover everything else is Cast Iron.

I took a buddy on my last pump buying trip, we picked up 7 pumps, and the 300 was the last stop, so my buddy had some experince under his belt. When he see's the pump he said he'd get this one himself, it was small, he could handle it! Every time he looks at that pump in my garage he laughs, he still can't believe how heavy it is.

Sorry for hi-jacking your thread Ron smile
