Well I'm finally done with the cleaning and assembly and now its just finding the best spot to display it! I have wanted on of these globes for as long as I can remember but they were always too pricey for me but a unique situation changed all that for me!
I had just returned from Montana on a long trip to pick up a sign that I had purchased some months earlier when I received a call from another Old Gasser congratulating me on my find! Well, on the way home, my wife had expressed reservations about installing it next to the house, so I already had an idea in mind! wink This particular Old Gasser had a set of NOS Westland Buffalo lenses that he had offered me for sale and all of a sudden, a trade situation started to form! It took a couple of weeks to make the arrangements but the trade happened and I set out to find a really good body to display them on! laugh
About then, Bill Fortune answered my ad on Old Gas and he had just what I was looking for and he could deliver it to Iowa Gas where Oslo Steve picked it up for me! I wanted a screw base Hull body because of the looks and the ability to get to the back of the lenses! I was worried about breakage with these lenses, so I used a small dot of clear silicone in 4 places on each lens. That way, if I ever need to remove the lenses, I have access to the backs of the lenses to cut the 4 silicone spots! Makes me rest easier knowing that theres NO PRESSURE on those lenses from the mounting screws!
So there it is, My Buy of the Week that took about a month! grin grin grin

Picked up this matching B/A sign (left one) to the one I had picked up this past spring. Condition is a bit better. The pair will look good when they get hung on the all Canadian wall of the garage.

Got another Perfect Circle sign in the mail today. A little rough but still a cool looking sign with the pig, car, people and pumps.

I got this Zephyr oil rack sign from eBay last week.
I'll post a couple other items over in Non-Petro.
