Dave--Theres toooo god of a story about how I found this globe and I think I'll just enjoy it for a while. I also have the old G & B 65 pre-visible that it had perched on for many years. If I can ever get around to it, I'd like to see what it looks like perched up there again.
Do we know where there might be another lens? Huh? Huh? Huh?

Kevin,

I don't have a matching lens and wish you luck in finding a match; however, I would like to know if your base is 6"...?
If so, would you be interested in a body swap...?

The base is a 7 inch and I've seen your posts looking for a 6 inch one. Might be hard finding someone thats willing to swap but keep looking! Good Luck!--KEVIN

Koolmotor--I was never privy to any story about someone else having a claim to this globe. In fact, I never even knew of its existence until I was told about it from the lady that called me and sold me the pump it had originally been mounted on. As I was ready to drive out of her yard, she told me the globe story and I simply made an inquiry and offered the owner enough to entice him to sell. The owner also said nothing to me about anyone else being interested in buying the thing!
I certainly don't make it a habit of investigating someone else's leads but that certainly wasn't the case here. I can find things on my own without following someone else's leads, and I hope that thats the way you repeat the story.
The lady that sold me the pump was an old aquaintance from my days in the horse industry and she simply called me one day and asked if I was interested in her gas pump and you now know the "REST OF THE STORY" as Paul Harvey would say!
And by the way,I'm not sure who Gus is? I sure didn't buy it from someone named Gus, unless thats his nickname, but I wouldn't know that because I'd never heard of him before that day!---KEVIN
