i was pretty sure it was a legit item too....i would love to see it start at 99 cents with no reserve, that would be fun to watch!!!!!!

If it had a Grizzly Bear on it, BIG BUCKS, just like the globe but take away the bear and well I guess we will see how it ends....mm

Are you guys thinking this was the Grizzly Gas from Montana? Personally I don't think it is as it has the word Penna Oil. Doesn't that refer to Pennsylvania? Just my two-cents.

It is Penno Oils and yes they sold that oil in Montana, Pennsylvania crude was the standard everyone measured the quality of their oil by thats all.

aumann auction house has sold the chevrolet version of this thermometer for $5000+ if memory serves me correctly....its been a couple of years ago, maybe ill try to find it tommorrow

Red Hat version sells for $5000 to $7000, if it had a bear on it the value would be over $10,000 but it does not. The Chevrolet version is rarer than the Red Hat. Dan

The red hat therometer had the red hat graphics,and the Chevy thermometer had the bowtie graphics, but the Grizzly had no graphics,so I would think the value would be less plus the housing was different on the grizzly, it didn't have the three mounting post that the other two had???
