I've seen a lot of great restorations on this forum. I'm certainly not in the league of the "masters" of this hobby but I think my first attempt at restoring my ECO air meter came out pretty good.
A friend gave me this meter. I bead blasted the cover, buffed the chrome face pieces and bought a new glass and face plate. The cover was re-painted in the original white by my body man and turned out pretty good. I buffed the chrome pieces myself and they turned out so nice that I was able to use them in the restoration.
I believe this to be a Canadian meter as the original damaged face plate has the names of 4 Canadian cities on it and the chrome pieces are attached with exterior screws - something not seen on US meters - but quite common on Canadian meters. In speaking with several other Canadian collectors, they have confirmed that they have seen many such models here in the Great White North.
It works fine with no modifications made to the interior components other than a good cleaning. It's mounted in my garage, hooked up to a compressor and will be used to inflate tires, and other inflatable items.
