Why does my Mobilgas special sign have a blue line around the edge instead of a solid blue edge like all the others I have seen? Does it have to do with the maker. Sorry if it is a newb question.

Is your sign sized 12 1/2" x 13" or 11" x 12"? If 12-1/2 x 13 your sign was used primarily in Magnolia Mobilgas territory, according to the Mobil Collector's guide page 65. Used from 1947-1962

If the size is 11 x 12 used across the country from 1954-1962. Also from collector's guide, again page 65.

That is if I read the guide correctly, after not seeing the sleds in Badgas' post I may have it wrong, lol.
