Does anyone have Tokheim 34 skins front and back in good shape?
I may even need the lower sides.
I'm not sure does anyone reproduce these new with the origional embossing? <<<<THANKS>>>>

No one that I've ever heard of reproduces these with the original embossing. The reproductions are just flat steel. Good-luck in your search...if anyone can come up with them, the guys on this site can...

I restored a Tokheim 34 last year that was missing all the original sheet metal. I got the lower skins from Gas Pump Heaven and they fit PERFECT. They were not embossed. This may be your only option...it was mine and I didn't care.

Thanks guy's, I figured this would be the place, if any one could find them it would be here. I was not sure if they reproduced them or not. My side skins should be ok, if I dont find any I wonder if I should just replace all 4 so they match. I will call Gas Pump Heaven if nothing pans out. Send some pics of your 34 if you have any.

After, didn't bother me the skins were not embossed:

Thanks, was your 34 the one recently purchased at that Colorado auction with a hole in one of the front skins? Post us some pictures of your restoration as you proceed if possible.

No, I got this out of Illinois a few weeks ago. I bought it with out front or back skins, they were both missing. I wish I had known about the auction in Colorado. Will keep ya posted with the progress. Are thoes brass latches on the corners of your Polly? Did they come from Gas Pump Heaven as well?

TT, I have good side skins that have the embossing. However I'm not sure if the side embossing would be the same size and style as the front.

Ron Scobie sells the brass latches. I used them on my 36B.

The embosing is diffrent from side to front. You could mask and paint the design in an accent color. The front design is a three layer design(flat and one raise on top of another raised). I was going to try and and do it with a bead roller with a flanging die. I think it could be done, but someone wanted it worse than me and I sold it. What part of Colorado are you in? Im in Beulah just west of Pueblo 25 miles. If you put all new skins I would be intrested in the side skins you have.

Not a good pic but here is what they look like.
Thanks
Brandon

I can give you a link or two to different ways(about 5 or 6) to emboss metal, if you look on www.metalshapers.org or www.metalmeet.com you will see them. tt

Thanks for the info, I was able to zoom in on the picture and it was prety clear.
I am in Arvada just a few miles west of Denver.
Sory but I have already promissed the skins to another person if I don't use them, if that were to fall through I will let you know. Thanks Lee

All you have to do for the embossing is to cut out flat steel panels the right thickness, in the correct shape,,drill a few holes in them, stack them on each other and spot weld through the holes onto the doors & sides them smooth out edges with filler & sand....
It is as simple as that to counterfiet the embossments.
All you need to do is take the sheetmetal guy a few patterns to cut from.

I took these measurements off 1 of my 34's. All sides have the same size embossing.
