I'm hoping for some help. For all those out there yelling at their computers, right now. Yes, I know I need more help than you all can give me. I bought this bonnet off of ebay 4 to 6 years ago. Thought it would be easy to ID and find parts for. I was wrong. So I'm turning to the experts here. What stationlighter did this go to? Or am I mistaken and it isn't the shade(db calls it a bonnet)for a stationlighter? As the photos show, has 3 holes along the base and one in the top. Anyone seen this one before or have been looking for one? Thanks, Bob

Bob:
What actual color is that thing? Blue - or Black?
And what is the inside diameter of the bottom opening where the three holes are?
This information might help in identifying it.
Later . . .

Bob:
That's a very kewl looking bonnet. However, most of the one's I have seen that were real stationliter tops were around 20" in diameter.
DB might be able to shed more light on this if/when he can type with any speed at all. LOL

I've never seen anything like it [Bob has a few things I Don't want to see either]. All the station lighters I have or seen are 18" & larger.

So, I really won't be destroying anything if I "open up" the top hole to make a hanging fixture, in your opinions? Didn't want to make "trash" out of something worthwhile.

It's made to run a wire threw to socket, why would you need to open it up ?

db,going to hang it over miter saw, wanted it to be more stable. I was thinking of "opening" the hole so I could put in a threaded rod. Dark in that corner of garage and for some reason I like my fingers the way they are, LOL. So more(any) stable light seems like a very good idea.
