Its very hard to say. I can only speak for the Seaside globes that I have in my collection. Scents I don't have a globe book.
What do they Have as a price for the Seaside Silver Gull from the late 1930ties.??
this globe has never showed on ebay. a A-38 lens sold for 1.800.00 about two years ago. I have been offered 2.500.00 for mine. Bob Drake can most likely answer this question better, except for the West Coast globes. They have gone out of sight. just my 2 cents.

The following are my observations from what I've seen globes SELL for on ebay, at shows, and at auctions.

Entry level globes are down. Some are way down! Many globes that used to sell in the $250 range now only bring 150-175.

SOME of the nicer looking common globes are down too. I'm talking about some of the globes that book in the 500-700 range.

The nice mid-range globes have been fairly stagnant in price. Many of these have only escalated in price by 25% over the past five years. I feel many of the globes are bargain priced right now.

Many of the globes that booked in the 1000-1500 range have doubled in value.

The book pricing is totally worthless when you get to the graphic globes. Prices on the really good globes has at least doubled and in many cases tripled or more!

I still see guys ASKING big prices on the common stuff and it just doesn't sell.

Metal globe bodies are selling right at book prices.

Glass bodies with screw on bases are going for 50-75 more than the book price.
Lately I've seen glass bodies selling for 200-450 on ebay! Thats insane. I bought around ten original glass bodies in the past 6 months and didn't pay more than 125 for one.

Its usually easier to sell low cost items because you have a larger pool of buyers. The exact opposite is true when it comes to globes. The high end stuff sells in a heartbeat while common stuff doesn't move.

I hope this helps.
Bob

Dwaine,
According to the book a Seaside Silver Gull,
1930-1950, 15" metal band is valued at $2000-2500. A Seaside Ethyl,1935-1950, metal band
is valued at $2000-2500 and a Seaside Ethyl(with Ethyl decal)1935-1950,15"metal band is valued at $2000-2600. The last two I believe are pictuers of globes that you have or had at one time since they list you in the credits below the globes pictuered. Thanks to you and Lastgas for your insight.
