Time to bore you all with my semi-out of focus photos and some more of my smalls, LOL. This time it is "books". Some here like me collect books, not books per say about oil companies or gas pumps. But books supported by oil companies geared towards their employees and station owners, customers and the general public(children). Here are ones I have, some are behind glass and wrapped in plastic, so I ask forgiveness for my photos.

From the '20s EN-AR-CO booklets sent to customers;

During the '20s and early '30s aviation was the "big deal" around the country;

A publication sent by SOCONY to airlines

Next, some books printed by PURE about the flying exploits
of Jimmie Mattern a WWI flying ace.

Two publications again from the 30's: The one on the left sent to station operators. The one on the right sent to airports to try and help get people to try flying for themselves;

Lastly from the 50's: Three different types of publications relating to gas stations and oil companies;

The Sinclair Dealer

Now the most important customers were also "considered important"

Comic book with Mobil as the sponsor, the comic book is based on an early '50s tv program

The book was a "behind the scenes" look at what it was like to operate a service station;

Now it is time, for those of you out there to share photos of your books

Thanks for sharing Bob, I guess I missed seeing those types also? What I have a re couple of dealer service station equipment, Studebaker 1927, and a similar Willys-Overland, come to think of it a repo KRW-Ford one too. I also have a few Automobile Trade Journal and Automobile Digests, (Trying not to hi-jack your thread) Funny, going to Hershey for about 20 years you would think a person had seen most everything? but this group proves there is still lots more to see! Take care! tt

Oil company magazines can be of great help in dating certain service station items.
