Sorry...just couldn't resist posting the subject that way... I just received what must be the thousandth load of gas pump parts from Ron Scobie and I just felt the need to announce my profound appreciation. This time the parts were for a Roman Column that I'm working on and the parts are absolutely spot-on. Not only are they all cast metal (not cast aluminum which, although better than nothing, has never really satisfied my sense of authenticity) but the casts are crisp, clean, and IDENTICAL to the original pieces that I have. Not sure how many of you have had dealings with Ron in the past, but he carries pieces that nobody else has, and is the absolute best for original faceplates and authentic cast-ron parts. I just thought after all that has been said as of late about reproduction parts vendors that I'd give a big thumbs-up to someone who's work I really appreciate. Good job Ron...keep it up.

The first time I ordered parts from Ron, I was amazed, he sent the parts before I even paid him! He didn't know me from Jack in the Box. GREAT to deal with. Ric

Ron Scobie of www.gaspump.com is a GREAT business man – he is a great guy - and he has some of the best parts – he is extremely pleasant to deal with too! Ron Scobie's customer service is absolutely HEAVENLY! There is "one" business man in Nebraska who could be a "GOD" of the pump parts biz if he could just learn from Ron's service... Well I might as well jump on the band wagon. I have for years sold and bought parts from him, and yes no problems and plenty of help. In fact just called for more parts. Ron where are you?

When I got my USACO air station it had a curved piece of steel for a cover. After seeing Ron's website had covers for other air stations I emailed him and he had a cover for mine too. Very smooth transaction and well packed parts. Eventually I want to highlight the letters so that is the only reason for smoothing them. The castings are well done enough it made the job very easy. THANKS RON!!! Mike

I remember when Ron's "Catalog" was a few zerox copies w/ a few hands and faces for clocks. Boy, that was a long time ago. now it takes a while just to scan over what he has on his site. You really have to hand it to him, he does it without help too. If it wasn't for Ron and his parts we all would be in deep doo-doo.......hip, hip, hooray !!!!!
