Thanks to all. No more comments needed here. This is a one man side business which was started in 1987 (notice how all the others use "We"). I have NO color catalog; NO employees; NO plastic transactions; NO 800 number; NO time for people who want to tell me how much money I could be making if...
I've been collecting pumps since 1971 and am 'down to' around 125 keepers and over 60 styles of air meters.
I had a real job for 32 years and now live on those retirement checks and a little help from the VA. This March it's the big 65.

Ron you worded it the best. Most guys in this hobby... notice i used hobby are in this for fun. I could see it being very hard to do that for a living and retire from it.

I seems to me most guys that do this to make money either as a dealer or vendor seem to not quite have as much fun as just a collector looking for a cool piece for his collection.

I too was single in '71, just getting ready to go on my first tour of 'nam. I'm single again , so "everything that goes around, comes around" LOL. Somehow, I think I'm too old and fat to go fight in another war, but I do teardown my neighbor's fences on occasion. Just so I will keep myself in "fighting shape". wink blush
