I'm not sure who the guy is that bought that can but he has sure been spending tons of money lately on cans. Are these cans really worth what they have been bringing here lately on the bay?

Way to much $$$$ for that can!!! I wonder who it is that bought it. I wish Ebay would show Usernames for the winning bidder. It seems like alot of cans have been bought latley by somebody with that feedback score????

That is nothing new, It happens with signs too, 1 person will appear for a few weeks buying up most everything at whatever it cost to "Feed a Habit" then they disappear for a while. Remember it takes at least 2 to get a price that high

I did not get the us oil can on ebay. What is it about ebay, when you loose the bid you want that item even more? Or you wish you had deeper pockets. Thanks again

I have also noticed certain buyers that all of a sudden appear on Ebay and buying everything they can for whatever it costs.
I recall one 5 or 6 years ago that didn't need to wait until the end to bid. He would leave a bid early on with a limit that must have been 3 or 4 times higher than anyone was likely to bid because I don't recall anyone ever out bidding him. People would drop out and he would win it. Then as fast as he appeared, he was gone. I guess the new wore off and he lost interest.

DP, I remember that guy and sold a ton stuff to him. He was from Texas. He was kicked off of ebay for paying late consistently. He always paid but it would take almost a month to get your $.I started buying a lot of signs during that time because you could not outbid him. He told me he was buying for a museum but the stuff he was buying wasn't museum quality.

Petro51, that can will come around again and you should get one for $100 or less in my opinion.

I still try to act like the young kids from time to time, but find myself with the older guys everyday. I'm 30 and I know there are few of us and we are far between.

I know a while back a survey was done on "How many years have you collected?", but I don't think I remember seeing a poll on "How old are you?", lol! I know some of us younger collectors have thrown our ages out there when the subject comes up of long term sustainability of the hobby and prices in the future, but I think it might be interesting to see. I'm 33, and have collected for 3 years or so. Sorry to deviate from the original post!
