Not sure where Doc is tonight. I guess I'll get this feature going in his place. Let's see what everyone has picked up for their collection this week.

I guess it's been a slow week for everyone, or maybe they're too busy to take pictures and post. I've had a great weekend. Swap meet, estate auction and then an estate sale on the way home (2 blocks from my house). Here's a summary picture of what I bought. Truck parts, oil/gas items, othere misc "antiques", etc. I haven't had time to take detailed pictures like I planned. Doesn't look like it'll happen this week either. I'll likely post detailed pictures next week.

...got a third version (top) of these Gulf road map display racks, ca. 1928-1933... ...looking for the other two in better shape, of course... ...if anyone has a fourth variation, I'm interested...
Looking for better Gulf items: signs, globes, cans and paper - especially porcelain Gulf flanges, and Gulf A-38 & A-62 ad glass...

very nice map racks MARK!!! DO YOU HAVE ENOUGH MAPS TO FILL THEM???ALAN ...yup...but when I display them, I use color photocopies of the map covers, mounted on cardboard so they'll stand up...those maps ain't cheap and they'd fade...also, there's sharp edges in the rack that would tear up the edges...

I picked up the White rose and Imperial oil porcelain signs from a local dealer last week www.aubreysantiques.com . I won this mobiloil porcelain sign off eBay las tweek. It comes courtesy of fellow Oldgasser Wes Hague. He was good enough to also sell me the rack that it goes with. Thanks Wes! I am not a Coca Cola collector but @ $325.00 I couldn't pass up the Policeman school zone sign dated 1955. It should clean up a little bit nicer. The back is in very good shape as well as the base.
