Can someone show a close up pic of a wayne 70 sight glass? Is the spinner painted? What does the metal look like behind the spinner? Is it all shined up too?
Also how do you change the price per gallon on the veeder root?

Wayne 70 pumps usually have an aluminum spinner behind the sight glass. They were not painted from the factory, but you could if you wanted to. They look nice if you polish them up and leave them silver too.

FREEDOM oil items wanted.

That answers that question, I polished mine up. I see the blades are folded back and was not sure if that was right or not. That pic tells the story, Thanks so much,
Now, How do I change the price per gallon? The little wheels won't move.

When you move the gears inside the variator to a different price per gallon, there is some linkage that sits on top of the variator that moves the little wheels. Often, the detent that stops the little wheels is stuck from time passage or the linkage itself won't move because the pieces that control that movement are frozen in place. Unless you've had one apart, its difficult to explain which pieces are which but think of it this way--Every time you change the price gears, there are about three more pieces that move to turn the little wheels and any one of them could be the problem.
I've had one apart and rather than try to fix them myself, I just send them to the rebuilder and they're done right. Its Joe Yocom on this forum.--Hope that helps!!!

You post what year, and what large city near you, you want for gas prices, and I give you the prices of Premium, Regular and the third brand if there was one at the time.

There are about 8 or so points (X3...10's, 1's, 9/10's) along the chain of command where the price wheels can keep from being turned.
From the inside where the range/increment plates are to the stud the wheel is on.

I ran across a batch of NOS spinners years ago ....
one "blade" was bare aluminum color and one blade was annodized red.
They still had Wayne tags on them from the factory.
when looking at them, 12 and 6 o'clock was red , 9 and 3 o'clock was aluminum.
All the ones I have seen that have come out of pumps had lost the annodizing, due to sunlight or chemicals in the gas maybe?
