I enjoy looking at everyone else's stuff so much I thought I'd post a couple of pumps I picked-up last week. The Roman is a keeper. I've been looking since I was thirteen for a Roman Column on a farm so I could buy it cheap enough to keep it. Well I finally did. I put some new rods in it and a handle and a couple of access doors from Scobie, but other then that she's 100% original. Keep looking guys...they're still out there....

Next is an Erie 50 I bought for a customer. I found it through oldgas and I believe it was Dice who restored it. A beautiful job. The pinstriping is a nice touch. I can't tell you how fun it is to have both these pumps in my shop at the same time!!!

Keesee is a pump I found in Arizona. I'm in the middle of a restoration on it for a customer. It's going Gulf (obviously). A very original, complete pump. I've always liked the Keesee's myself. Luckily I was able to salvage the brass I.D. tag as you can sort of see in the pic...it's a very detailed, very cool tag.

I've never seen an Erie 50 before. That is an absolutely beautiful pump! I love the art deco styling. Oh and the Roman column is my dream pump of course. I feel so inadequate now...

Nice looking pumps. Was there a certain company that used the Roman column pump?

Beautiful way that the Erie was done. The pumps are still there in places for the hunters and lucky to stumble on.

I've seen lots of pictures showing that most oil companies used Roman pumps.
